DIESEL FORUMS : General Diesel: General  Fuel Filter Change

I replaced my Racor with Seaboard´s multi-stage fuel filtration at the beginning of this season, so all filters were new for the season. I´ve run maybe 1600 gallons thru them. I´ve drained a bit of fuel off each of the primaries at regular times and there has been little to no water or black stuff evident. Vacuum has stayed same as new from the beginning. In my old Racor days, I changed all fuel filters annually whether needed or not. Is that necessary with this new set-up? What´s implied in previous discussions is that if vacuum is OK and other signs are good, it shouldn´t be. Thanks.
