David,
This is what I´d do..
Since you have high vac so soon again, you need to determine whether you have clogged a filter again (not likely as you checked it) , OR the CRUD is clogging a suc..... |

Sounds like a clogged tank pickup. Clean filter and yet still high vacuum. Some builders put screens on the pickup (why???) and if it clogs and tank pickup is not accessible, you´re kinda screwed. ..... |

I removed the fuel pick-up and it was as clean as the day it went in! Only 3/8 diameter but no sign of sludge. The pipe is plastic so flexible enough to be removed.
At the top of the pick-up is a n..... |

David,
These are things we have seen:
1) at the top of the pick-up tube, many builder Micky Mouse designs make a very sharp 90 or worse leaving a spot to catch very small pieces of crud
2) t..... |

No need for a siphon break, or non return valve (whatever it may be called) on a diesel boat. That stuff is for gassers. Put a regular hose barb in its place. |

Since you have gone this far- add a sump or a valve at the bottom of the tank, that way you can dump a bad batch of fuel or polish it before it hits the mains. An old commercial trick is to buy shitty..... |

Thanks all, makes perfect sense. The 1/2 ID pickup will require a new fitting on the tank. There is also the anticipated 90 degree bend and due to clearance removing that will require some thought, pr..... |

I´m having an issue with my boat. Port engine turns up to only 3600RPM and stbd 3750 Rpm´s. I´ve lost 4-5 knots and my fuel burn appears to be 20-25% higher. I did primary and secondary filters, che..... |

Can anyone please explain the removal and installation process of injectors on a Yanmar 6LPA-DTP? Will a puller be needed?
Thanks |

someone told my that adding Mistery Mavel Oil to the fuel would increase lubricity. Can somebody verify that this oil would not harm a Yanmar 6LPA? |
