On this forum the HP of the Perkins Perama M30 is rated as:
"diesel with ratings from Pleasure Duty 29.0 SAE HP:(21.6kW) to Pleasure Duty 21.6 SAE HP:(21.6kW)." Does anyone know why the M30 is rated from 29 HP to 21.6 HP? How do you know which rating you have. Or is there some other reason why this range of HP is given?
A Perkins 103-10, the base motor used in this engine is rated at 20.3bhp @ 2800 rpm and 23.5bhp at 3600 rpm.
Thanks for any help trying to understand these numbers.
