#3 Level-3 Member Ski in NC   If max rpm in neutral is 3200 and max rpm in gear is 3200, then you may be way underpropped and engine is being held back by governor. And yes, all diesels are governed. I thought those 6.5´s ran up.....

Level-1 Member Ed   My manual tells me after cool down to race my motor in neutral a few times just before shut down. How high do you go and how long for each burst? Is it really helpful dose it blow off carbon etc?

#1 Level-3 Member Ski in NC   Simply pulling the throttle back a little bit will do the same thing. No need to replace the injectors to get better economy. Either big or small injectors will be controlled by the governor to main.....
