Thank you for questions. The coolant will keep flowing out. I do not fill up to cap after each run as I thought it was too full.
Head goes back on tomorrow morning. I hope it is just one of tho..... |

Head was reinstalled on Saturday after being checked. I was hoping new gaskets would solve problem but it still exists. A 1 gallon jug under the plastic recovery tank will fill with anitfreeze in less..... |

This is a simple engine as its a natural. The common faults for this symptom are found in the exhaust manifold and head.
My guess is you still have problem with the head. Cylinder pressures are grea..... |

The head was presuure tested using air with the injectors installed. Is this a fool proof way to test injector tubes? |

No, as MDS posted, a bench p-test does not tell the full story. If it leaks on the bench, it is bad. If it passes on the bench, that does not mean it is good. Firing pressure is something like 1000..... |

Just want to check one thing you left hanging, unless I missed it.
You said you do not replace the fluid. Does that mean your coolant is low? Or is it being replaced by something else? |

Some older detroit shops have the tools to replace the injector tubes. With tubes removed, inspect the tube seating surface from the hole above. Must be squeaky clean. Do a pt inspection there for ..... |

I´m looking at a 1990 Boat with twin 6-71 TIB´s, and unfortunately, the total hours is uncertain on both, but at least 2,000 hours (maybe as much as 3,000 on one of them).

I am looking at a 41´ Hatteras that has been very well maintained and the engines are clean as a whistle. The only draw back is that they are 1988 671 TI´s with 3100 hours with no record of rebuilds...... |

I´m loosing fresh water on port 671-DD. I have no sign of leaks, Oil pan does show water. Where can the water be going to? I appreciate any ideas that anyone can give me. |
