Bill--I have Tony´s S&B filters on my Yanmar 4LHA-STEs. After a few years of having them on, I decided to clean them. I just used the K&N cleaning and recharge kit. It was a very easy process. |

The trick for me has been to use sealant (and with your project, I wouldn´t do it any other way), but to just barely snug the bolts up until the sealant squishes. Wait for the sealant to set for a da..... |

Saylpal,
Silicones are not recommended for diesel fuels.. Some of the gasketing silicones are OK for petroleum oils, but NOT #2 diesel..

Thanks Eric. I definitely will check all measurements before spending $, but I just wanted a quick check to see if it was possible. All repowers of that hull seem to be older Volvos so I wondered.

Dave, I didn´t write down top speed. Wish I did. And yep, probably anything over 18kts is going to get freaky. I sea trialed a 31 downeast with a big 400 odd hp volvo and that was one hell of a rid..... |
