I have three 2 micron secondary canister type fuel filters on each motor. There is a brass valve that allows you to control the fuel flow from the 3 filters individually and/or in all combinations. ..... |

ok
I have twin 3406´s in a 52 Tiara with a bow and stern fuel tanks. When I use the bow tank all is ok. Then I switch to the stern tank and run the engines and shut down after a couple of hours the ..... |

I am itching to clean engine compartment and motors 12cyl CATS..Any major areas to avoid with pressured water and any products you guys would reccommend? Degreasers etc etc.

What is typically performed in a sea trial ? Understand the engine would be listened to and run-up but what would be measured other than what the engine gauges show ? |

Near the turn of ´09 into ´10, I learned that a single engine (CAT 3408 -- 800 hp) in a trawler I manage was boroscoped in 2004 and found to have valve seat erosion.
No one was told of this until ..... |
