I am assuming that there wasn´t any extra smoke coming out the exhaust. You probably aren´t getting enough fuel. I would suggest a vacuum gauge on the filters. Pull the fuel filters on the racor and..... |

Don´t use a 2 mic. filter it can induce air into the system, if you want a smaller one use a 10 mic. |

Maybe I´m wrong but a volvo is a diesel and a dirty tank is a dirty tank, Why has nobody spoken of multi stage fuel filtering and spelled out the correct way. I will only say go, before you take some ..... |

I think you have experienced it Tony, When you changed a pri. filter that was so bad it stopped the engine, you pop the top off and and the fuel is half way down the filter housing, Where did the air..... |

It has nothing to do with who is watching, this is a fact at 15" Hg air comes out of the fuel! I don´t care what filter or no filter. And with my eyes I have seen a Racor 30 mic filter make air..... |

Tony as much work as you have done on filters I take you´re word that the Fleetguard does a better job, I have no issues with that. I myself like the Racor for the pri filter, it´s easy to work with..... |

Warranty issue. Talk to the shop that rebuilt the pump. They may have screwed something up. Or timing may be off from the re-installation. |

Just had fuel pump (both of them) fail in a DDEC 8V92. Found that the Racors had 2 micron filters. Being told this caused the failure, because of too much restriction. Any feedback would be great. |
