Level-1 Member Vic   I recently pulled my aftercoolers for service and was a bit dismayed to say the least. Between the slugging to get the cores out and the visible corrosion on the casing I knew there was going to be so.....

#4 Level-1 Member Bruce M   has this always happened? Are they up to normal op temp? That 2600 is actual loaded reading? What rpm are you running when you get the soot? Are you fully on plane?

#10 Level-3 Member Ski in NC   Two thoughts: 1) If you prop a little lighter so it runs at 2700 full power, then cruise at 2200 instead of 2100 the engines will likely create less soot. There will be more air in the cylinder f.....
