Is the need for servicing an aftercooler when new true for systems that do not involve sea water? Mine is a closed system on a CAT 3306 with coolant only running through a keel cooler. |

I have an 1964 vintage D333 that might have a head gasket sleeve liner problem. Can anyone give me an estimate to drop the oil pan and do a leak down test?

When I bring the throttle back on my 350hp, 3306 the alarm comes on. I think she goes back too far and the oil pressure drops and then the alarm comes on. How do I set the idle on this motor? |

Is there any difference between major brands of oil for diesel engines? I seem to hear more enthusiasm for Rotella than for, say, Delo, but is this a case of loving what you are used to? |

I keep comming across the 3304 and 3306 engines as I peruse the literature from the major manufacturers, yet I don´t hear anything about them. They seem to be very heavy duty commercial diesels..... |
