I have 2007 CAT C7 engines in my boat and just had a head gasket fail. Has anyone else had head gasket problems with the C7. The engine never ran over 205 degrees, so it´s not an overheating problem. |

I have contract on subject boat-one ZF280A has black and I mean black oil in it - I am very concerned - plan on doing oil analaysis on both engines and trans tomorrow - but the black oil has me concer..... |

I have a 2006 Rampage 33 with C-7s.Cat just replaced both engines after 240 total hours. All caused by the after coolers. |

I found that my overheating problem was bring caused by a bad valve seat that was damaged by a leaking aftercooler. It seems that the salt water damaged the valve seats allowing the gasses to escape ..... |

I have twin c7 engines on my boat but shows diffeent consumption rate. The starboard engine shows at least 2 gallons per hour more at any speed than the port engine. The props were already checked by ..... |
