#1 Guest Dave   No oil suppose to be there. You will get it though from the crankcase breather that is plummed into the air filter. I clean mine with a gallon or so of diesel in a flat pan. Soak the filter and the.....

#2 Level-1 Member Ron S   Dave, The serial numbers are 3JK00376 and 3JK00377. They are rated at 1250 hp. If these are 3412C PEECs, what should I be looking for? I assume they should start cold, and not smoke much after r.....

Level-1 Member Robert Hersch   heat exchanger caps on both engines leak. what is the proper cap pressure and can you test? Mechanic says heat exchangers should be removed and necks must be rebuilt to stop leaking.This seems pretty .....

#1 Level-3 Member Mesa   You can test but I wouldn´t bother. Best to replace the caps. Any local radiator shop should be able to do this pretty quick and cheap, replacing a cap is pretty simple. It may be repairable, but caps.....

Level-1 Member Mike   Last run offshore the boat seemed to be lugging and producing a bit too much brown smoke. Changed the Racors, and the foam air cleaner elements (they were pretty oily/dirty)and went back out for a run.....
