A friend of a friend re-powered a 38 Bert (essentially the same hull) with 480hp C Series. That boat cruised at 27 knots with a full tower. I think that would be the way to go. |

No oil suppose to be there. You will get it though from the crankcase breather that is plummed into the air filter. I clean mine with a gallon or so of diesel in a flat pan. Soak the filter and the..... |

I agree with Eric that leaving well enough alone can be the right choice. If you do need to remove the one engine, then the effort to do so may present opportunities in ensuring many more..... |

These are the parts necessary to "bump up" the horsepower to 435 from 375:

You can test but I wouldn´t bother. Best to replace the caps. Any local radiator shop should be able to do this pretty quick and cheap, replacing a cap is pretty simple. It may be repairable, but caps..... |
