Fiat Powertrain Technologies of North America, Inc. Offers
Economical Powerhouse in N67 450 Marine
CAROL STREAM, IL (October, 2009) - The N67 450 marine engine from FPT NA is a 6-cylinder, 4 valves-per-cylinder, in line diesel engineered for fuel efficiency, noticeably quieter operation and less vibration.
For commercial vessels, the N67 450 (N67 ENT M45) at 6.7L has greater overall combustion efficiency in the way of in-cylinder technology and larger displacement. Torque rise is higher and peak power is @3000 rpm which improves fuel economy and life cycle.

The common rail fuel supply system with electronic control ensures consistent engine performance and highly efficient fuel consumption and an ideal balance of power and durability, while still meeting current EPA emission regulations.
A low weight/high power ratio and low volume/high power ratio ensures maximum performance. The engine has a dry weight (without marine gear) of 1,320 pounds. Its compact structure packs big power and fits into small engine rooms.

The N67 450 is turbo-charged with an air-to-water aftercooler. The engine is laid out for optimal ease of maintenance and the rugged, quality construction, also used in FPT truck engine construction, is built for long life.
